💌 CoFounder’s note

On Thursday, we hosted a founder build lab as part of San Francisco Tech Week, partnering with Female Founder Collective to bring our original NY experience to the West Coast. In under 20 minutes, everyone had built a working prototype - products ranged from an AI receptionist for a skincare studio, to a regulatory monitor tracking insurance law, and a living brand voice guide that everyone begged to go live immediately.

The whole idea was that you don't have to feel ready to start building with AI, which I think probably resonated for all of the founders in the room. If you're always waiting to feel 110%, it might never happen. Or someone else might make it happen in the meantime!

Next week we’re back in person in LA and we’d love to see more of you there. There’s a back to school feeling about live events in October, so bring your new outfits and trapper keepers, you can absolutely sit with us at lunch 🥪

👀 Meet Charlee, she’ll get you building

The builder behind Vibe Code Mama’s next chapter of hands-on AI learning, helping women make their AI era their most exciting chapter yet.

We’re excited to welcome Charlee Atkins as Head of Programs at Vibe Code Mama. For 15 years, Charlee has helped people show up and push beyond what they thought possible. From SoulCycle Master Instructor to founder of Le Sweat, coaching has always been at the heart of what she does. Now she’s bringing that same coaching approach to AI, helping people learn new skills and discover what they can build.

❝

“I’ve spent my career getting people to show up and push themselves. AI is no different. You show up, get your reps in, and surprise yourself with what you can do.” — @Charlee Atkins

Her first VCM program is the 10-Day AI Build Challenge. Ten days of turning a real idea, problem, or project into something useful, with daily prompts and a group chat where you can share what you’re building, ask questions, swap ideas, and get a little push when you need it.

No coding background required. No pressure to become an “AI expert.” Just one useful build, one day at a time. Look

🗞️ Adaptation Signals

Three shifts shaping AI, work and modern life.

  1. Google wants you to delegate work, not just ask questions

Google introduced a workplace Gemini agent that can carry out tasks across Gmail, Docs, Drive, Sheets and connected services, including Slack and Microsoft 365. The pitch is a virtual colleague that takes an assignment and returns a finished product, rather than another chatbot waiting for your next prompt. CBS News

Why we care: Whether you lead a team, serve clients or run your own business, the useful test is the same: can it take one recurring task off your plate without creating more checking and cleanup? A finished deliverable matters more than a clever answer.

  2. Bring your ChatGPT plan to other apps OpenAI now lets Go, Plus and Pro subscribers sign in to participating apps with ChatGPT and use their plan’s included usage there, with no API key needed. You can set a weekly cap for each app, and additional credit usage requires opting in. Participating apps may still charge their own fees. OpenAI

Why we care: Carrying a subscription you already pay for into other tools could make experimenting cheaper and easier. Just check what comes out of your ChatGPT allowance and what the app charges separately, before connecting it.

  3. “Teen-safe” AI is still an unsettled promise Common Sense Media says some ChatGPT teen safeguards failed in its testing, including alerts intended to notify parents about potential self-harm and other crises. OpenAI disputes the findings and says the testing may have happened before parental controls were fully activated. Associated Press

Why we care: Parents don’t need another invisible system to supervise. The disagreement is a reminder to treat “teen-safe” as a claim to examine, not a guarantee and to keep conversations about how kids use AI alongside whatever controls a platform offers.
